Real-World Applications

Combine DYN.VC with GetIP.online to access your devices from anywhere in the world

The Problem

Many home users are stuck behind NAT (Network Address Translation) or CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT), making it impossible to access their devices remotely. Traditional solutions require expensive static IPs or complex VPN setups.

The Solution

GetIP.online + DYN.VC = Simple Remote Access

  • GetIP.online provides you with a free IPv6 address using WireGuard technology
  • DYN.VC gives you a memorable domain name that always points to your device
  • Together, they enable secure remote access without port forwarding or static IPs

Remote Desktop Access

Access your home computer from anywhere

Scenario

You need to access your home Windows PC from your office or while traveling, but your ISP uses CGNAT and you can't get a public IP address.

Setup Steps

  1. Get Your IPv6 Address
    • Visit getip.online and register for a free account
    • Download and install the WireGuard client
    • Import the configuration provided by GetIP
  2. Configure DYN.VC
    • Register a subdomain like mypc.dyn.vc
    • Point it to your GetIP IPv6 address
    • Set up automatic updates using our DDNS client
  3. Enable Remote Desktop
    • Enable RDP on your Windows PC (port 3389)
    • Configure Windows Firewall to allow RDP over IPv6
    • Connect using mypc.dyn.vc:3389 from anywhere

Benefits

  • No need for TeamViewer or other third-party services
  • Direct, secure connection with no middleman
  • Full Windows RDP features including file transfer
  • Works even behind multiple NAT layers

NAS Remote Management

Access your Network Attached Storage from anywhere

    • Import GetIP.online configuration
    • Enable the WireGuard tunnel at startup
  2. Set Up Dynamic DNS
